What do you do as a Digital Specialist?

As a digital specialist I plan campaigns for our customers together with the sales team. From creating the campaigns to optimizing and following up on the results.

What qualities are important to succeed as a Digital Specialist?

To succeed in the role it’s important to be able to handle a lot of responsibilies and to be comftortable to take ownership and take decisions. Also have that creative edge and think out of the box. We always work as a team so your cooporations skills have to be on point, no lonely wolves here!

What is the fun part of your work?

The most fun part about my job is that I work closely with our clients every day. I write and create the campaign in their name and have to truly live in to their brand. Nothing beats giving them great results and a satisfied customer. How cliche as it might sound!

What are the challenges?

The challenges are of course to deliver the best material even if you get a writers block and the creative mind is wandering somewhat slowly, which can happen sometimes. No matter what our aim is to deliver excellent material of high quality at all times.

What do you think is unique about KSMG as an employer?

It’s an open atmosphere, all ideas are welcomed and what’s really unique is that we are constantly moving forward to new hights! I’ve grown so much in my role in a short period of time byt also as a person which I will forever be grateful for. Every individual is seen and heard therefor everybody gets to grown in their own areas.

What is it with KSMG that keeps you here?

The KSMG-family ofcourse! At my first interview when HR talked about the close familylike bonds at KSMG I thought to myself “how can a company have this familylike atmosphere?”. I would have never hoped or guessed that it would be like this! KSMG makes me think about the future together and with only them as my employer.

What do you do as a COO?

I work as Vice President/ COO at KSMG and I am operationally responsible for our business. My area of responsibility includes our deliveries through the Digital Team, our development projects and our products and our packaging together with Sales. In combination with this, I am also responsible for our marketing activities while working with our HR manager and our profile towards the candidate market.

What qualities are important to succeed as a COO?

I would say that in the role I have, you need to be a multitasker, someone who likes to have many projects going on at the same time and someone who is self-sufficient when it comes to prioritizing and knowing what is “good enough”. I also think it is important that you are a person who can make decisions, and is not afraid of it. At the same time, we need flexibility, we are a small organization and there is a fine line between structuring a small entrepreneurial company at a reasonable level and at the same time retaining the fantastic qualities that a start-up has. I also think it is important not to be principled or too proud, if you do a good job you need help and with that said it is important to have good communication skills and be able to work and collaborate with different profiles.

What is the fun part of your work?

I love the variation, that no days are the same as the other. I have wonderful colleagues who trigger me to do a better job. I am not a person that gets content, I want to constantly evolve as much I can in this role. At the same time, I am driven by seeing results. I am part of a journey here and we are constantly working to improve and develop ourselves, our customers and our products and services. If everything would have been perfect then I wouldn’t have anything to do here.

What are the challenges?

It is challenging to prioritize right, to spend enough time on the most important things, to catch up with everything etc. We take our assignment very seriously and it is a fact that Sweden as an innovation country is in danger due to our companies in this country fail to attract, recruit and retain the right skills. I sincerely get tired of how recruiters today post job ads and wait for applications from Arbetsförmedlingen and job sites. I can say that today because I have worked with recruitment and seen how companies do. That is what I call a challenge – to change this industry.

What do you think is unique about KSMG as an employer?

It is difficult to be unique as an employer today, the majority of all employers communicate and say the same thing. I have worked with Employer Branding for 15 years now. I know that here I have to be completely transparent and honest when I get this question. What is unique really? Why should one choose KSMG over another employer? Not everyone will. If you think it is fun to be in a fast-growing environment, with relatively high pressure but at the same time be able to be open and prosper in a family like atmosphere – then you will fit in well here. I can see that we are relatively unique as we are a small company with the entrepreneurial feeling in mind – while we are not controlled by a large majority owner. There is an opportunity to influence and make a difference for everyone here and I find, quite frankly, that to be very unique.

What is it with KSMG that keeps you here?

I have the confidence in my boss and among my colleagues. Confidence for me is very important! It obviously takes time to build up in an organization, where you should not stress as a new employee. A big reason why I am here today is also my colleagues, I am a peoples person who wants to have fun at work to be able to do a good job. I’ve been working for far too many years to not make it feel fun to go to work, if not every day. I also demand a flexibility that I cannot give up. I have 2 children who are 7 and 4 years old. There is nothing called too much love and too much attention – I want to be close to my children all my life and I need to have their trust as a mother and thus be there now when they are young. I try to keep up with activities and pick up as often as I like, then I can run my job race when they’re asleep.

What do you do as a Product Owner?

Being a Product Owner is a very broad role, but to summarize it, I’m trying to enable us to solve as many of our client’s problems as possible, with as little code as possible. To make this possible I work closely with the development team, marketing team and our clients to try and find these needs and problems.

Which abilities does a Product Owner need to succeed?

I think the most important thing you need is a holistic way of understanding and solving problems. I also find joy in understanding how companies work and putting myself in their shoes. In regard to it being a broad role, you also need focus and a good sense of prioritisation, you can’t do everything at once even if you want to!

What’s the most fun aspect of your job?

I think one of the most fun things is when I get to learn something new about a specific topic I thought I knew enough about. With that said, I probably get most joy out of positive feedback from our clients. It feels really good to know we made someone’s day a bit better with some lines of code.

What’s the challenge?

The challenge is of course to balance it all, and not lose track of your goals. You have to be very good at prioritising your tasks and use your time where it’s needed the most.

What do you think is unique for KSMG as an employer?

I think it’s the combination of a lot of things. Willingness to learn new things, high levels of knowledge and a fun office environment are all great features on their own, but the combination of all these is what makes me truly happy to go to work.

What do you do as an Account Manager?

I have been here for over a year now and can say that as an Account Manager at KSMG you have the overall responsibility from start to maintain the customer relationship. My job is to help the customer with their challenges with the help of social media and the services we provide to develop solutions. You have to be creative, proactive but most importantly above all very service minded.

What qualities are important to succeed as an Account Manager?

The competative mind is an important part for me because you compete against yourself and always try to figure out how can I perform even better. Patience – All solutions and business proposals must be right in the time of our customers and this means that sometimes we have to take a step back and focus on something else. In my opinion, solution-oriented is the most important characteristic that an Account Manager should have at KSMG. We have two ears and a mouth which means listening is incredibly important. Myself and many other colleagues have missed a collaboration because we did not really understand what the customer needs and then presented the solution that meets their needs. Listen carefully and feel free to ask again if something was unclear.

What is the fun part of your work?

Every day is unique and you always have to develop your creative side as new challenges require new solutions. In addition, I have very fun and helpful colleagues! I personally find it fun to have a game room where you can take a break and play off some steam to come back with a rested brain. Fun fact – you’ll definitely find me in the game room at lunch if I don’t have a meeting.

What are the challenges?

We have a very large product portfolio at KSMG and it is important to not make it hard for yourself by presenting something to the customer that is not relevant. It really is important to try to see each customer’s individual needs and to adapt our solutions accordingly.

What do you think is unique about KSMG as an employer?

In our industry you always have to stay ahead which I know that’s what we aim to do. New products, solutions and changes are something that we are constantly working on, which means that both me and my customers get better results and constant development. We work hard at KSMG but we have fun along the journey which is incredibly important. In short, I’m here because I’m having fun while growing and learning! 13 months at KSMG has felt like 3 months.

What is it with KSMG that keeps you here?

No day is the same as the other and every day I get to come into the office and be creative! For me it’s important with developing, team spirit and dedicated colleagues which I feel I have here at KSMG.
